Sop Computer Science Article

The joy to be a computer industrial engineer lies in the amazing ability of complexity activity that lies at my removal. The mysterious sense of magic, that we felt the moment my initially " hi there world " got displayed on screen, is anything I have hardly ever experienced in a other period of my academic search " Hello there, World”; the first and possibly the simplest from the programs any novice programmer executes. But, its seeming simplicity given a magic-like feeling to programming, a thing that I have found hard to assign, to any scientific research. Since all the things that made the program function were yet to be explained, I was left with an uneasiness that persisted through the many progressively intricate programs that I wrote. It was during my fifth semester in college, once i was looking to make a stepper electric motor work in the Microprocessors lab, that I saw how a system could effect something in the real world. The truth that an " unreal” piece of text that I had keyed in can move anything in the real life fascinated me. The eyesight of the machine motor switch addressed the discomfort in a subtle yet very important approach. Soon, I actually realized that looking at programs in the hardware point of view and focusing on how things worked " underneath the hood” fascinated me and added a fresh dimension to my development skills. It is this enchantment for the hardware software co-design that led myself to go after a career in embedded devices development..

It was within my junior year project that we first acquired a glimpse of stuck systems globe. IMy job was to designed and integrated a length measuring system. I usinged a 8051 controller interfaced with a machine motor and a dtmf keypad to advance a material pointer to the specified range. I accomplished a least count of 0. 01mm. This was mythe first task where I had developed usedexposure to micro-controller programming for a complex system and it offered me an in depth information on the operation of a fundamental processor structures.
