1 ) Introduction

You will find not many poems which offer such a wide range of possible points of views for an interpretation while T. S. Eliot's " The Waste Land", a cycle consisting of five parts. A deep and detailed knowledge of his whole function, life and influences is necessary to provide a to some extent reasonable presentation of all portions of the poem. Additionally this individual uses the feature of intertextuality frequently, which means that one particular must know each of the sources he uses and alludes to. In this newspaper I will merely briefly identify Eliot's your life, and the key sources of intertextuality of " The Fire Sermon", which is the third part of " The Squander Land". However will try to investigate " The Fire Sermon" concentrating on the function of mother nature in the composition. I have divided the composition into the three parts Drinking water, City and Fusion. This labeling can be reflecting the elements, that we consider as most important for all the three elements of the poem. I will look at each component separately. Drinking water and Town are quite crystal clear distinct primary elements, that we will look at. Fusion means all important elements of the composition fusing jointly. Finally, I will try to answer the question if there is a clear environmental concern sent through the poem.

Thomas Stearns Eliot was developed on Sept. 2010 26, 1888, in St Louis, Missouri.
